Synopsis
The X-Men return to the states, but Banshee stays in Scotland with Moira. Upon entering the mansion, the X-Men find Xavier is back and ready to lead the team again. Professor X identifies a new mutant and the X-Men go to recruit her. The Hellfire Club also tries to woo the young Kitty Pryde into their ranks.

This trade paperback has gone through a number of printings with changes only in price and cover. 1st to 3rd printings have same cover with similar $6.95 cover price, but differnet barcodes. Printings 4th to 6th have similar cover to the 1st - 3rd printing with variant cover price ($9.95) and barcodes. 7th printing has different cover, price and barcode... 10th printing from 1998 has new title Marvel's Finest X-Men The Dark Phoenix Saga'.

The title is taken from the cover of the first printing and the indicia, which reads "The Dark Phoenix Saga: The Uncanny X-Men and all prominent characters are copyright...". Some other printing's covers drop the "Uncanny" or put X-Men before Dark Phoenix.
