This book has a unique design for page numbers. For even numbered pages, the page number is on the lower left of the page over a small illustration of a tank, which was taken from the cover of Action Comics #17 (pencils and inks by Joe Shuster). For odd numbered pages, the page number is mid-way down the right side of the page in a small circle with an illustration of Superman, which was taken from Superman #20 "Destroyers from the Depths" (pencils by Ed Dobrotka, inks by John Sikela).
