Synopsis

At 25, Julia still lives in a remote Cornish village and has never been kissed. She meets an artist who asks her to sit for him and when he finishes the painting, named "Lonely Girl", he kisses her. After her mother dies, she finds him and proposes to him, using her inheritance to support his painting. But after they are married, she learns he is the son of the man who jilted her mother and he soon leaves Julia too.
