Synopsis

An illness forces Joy to stay in her room for months. She notices the boy opposite her window gardening every day. When he speaks to her, she tells him about her illness and he promises to give her the first flowers that grow from his garden. She knew he had girlfriends and she learned to hate them. When she sees him kissing one of his dates, she decides she has to get away from the window. Four days later, she receives flowers and a note telling her that only when she was gone did he realize how much it meant to have her there.
