Synopsis

A free-lance artist, fed up with having dates broken by her reporter boyfriend, goes to the Newspapermen's Ball and dances all night with a stranger. When the reporter goes to Chicago to cover a story, she agrees to marry the stranger after seeing him for a week. After the honeymoon, her new husband gets a letter that causes him to leave immediately after getting her to promise not to tell anyone they were married. When the reporter returns, he suggests that her new husband is actually a burglar who killed a watchman while looting a jewelry store.
