Synopsis

James arrives at the shop just as it is closing in desperate need to have his dinner jacket mended. Betsy tells him that if he had arrived five minutes earlier, she could have done a quick temporary job on the sleeve. Hearing this, James ushers her to his flat where she agrees to mend the jacket. He is planning to propose that night and Betsy helps him look his best. Since he is late, she agrees to wait until Pat, his dog-sitter, arrives. Betsy expects Pat to be a girl, but when she opens the door and discovers Pat is a boy, she realizes that something special happened to both of them.
