Synopsis

Cathy arrives as the new teacher at Northwold, desperate to forget her broken romance with Alec and keep men out of her life. Tom tries to give Cathy a lift, but she refuses. After Susie brings a rat to school, Cathy sends the girl home. Susie's brother Tom is sent to defend her, but Tom invites Cathy to a barn dance. A romance is blossoming when Alec arrives and asks Cathy to come back. Susie sees Alec kiss Cathy, but Tom arrives to see Cathy try to push Alec away. Tom punches Alec. Cathy and Tom admit they love each other.
