Synopsis

Sonny is unwilling to leave childhood behind but becomes obsessed with a selkie. Since unbeknownst to him Charlotte has packed the selkie's pelt into Sonny's bag, the selkie is now confined to land. A confused old woman mistakes the selkie for her now-grown daughter. Now called Ellen, the selkie haphazardly starts to learn the ways of modern life.
