Synopsis
Janie's mother Lillian pushes her to become a performer, denying her daughter a normal childhood full of fun and social activities. Learning Janie's former high school classmate Glen is now a TV producer, Lillian encourages a romance between the two young people, then pressures Glen into giving Janie a spot on his program. Janie is a flop, as Glen knew she would be, but that's fine with both of them: now Janie can "retire" to become Glen's wife.
Notes
Most unusual for a romance comic, three of the four main stories in this issue are narrated by the male protagonists.
