Synopsis

The current Dr. Frankenstein explains her unusual past to Mary, believing that the daughter of the renowned feminist Mary Wollstonecraft would understand her work. Victoria intends to continue her father's work, reanimating dead flesh into life as men who can serve as apparent partners for women who want a greater degree of independence, which they could not achieve when single.
