Synopsis

Wealthy Fran’s friends are all getting engaged, so when she meets Ted and they fall in love, she’s happy to receive his proposal. However, she’s stunned to learn he’s an auto mechanic, and is ashamed of her modest engagement ring. Fran breaks up with him, but when her friend Rita says she broke her engagement because her fiancé lost all of his money, Fran realises she’s just as bad. She asks Ted to take her back, and then he mentions that he’s invented something that will make them rich anyway.
