Synopsis

To escape the slums, Tessie takes a job as a chorus girl rather than wait for her boyfriend Jerry to finish his education. She must constantly fend off lecherous employers and customers. Tessie finally snaps when she’s offered a job and is told “the boss” wants to have dinner with her – she says “tell him to fry his hat!” But the owner of this club is her sweetheart Jerry, and they finally marry.
