Synopsis
Ellen visits her hometown on the Mississippi River and meets engineer Martin, who’s building a new type of levee to prevent flooding. They fall in love, but Ellen hates the destructive power of the river and tries to convince Martin to leave; he refuses. Martin’s levee is a success and he and Ellen will marry.
