Synopsis

Pauline’s roommate Edna writes a novel and Pauline takes it to publisher Colin, whom she knows from her job as a hatcheck girl. When Edna has to return to her hometown, Pauline takes credit for the book, which is a huge hit. Hollywood producer Edwin buys the rights. Edna doesn’t complain, but writes another book and marries Colin. Pauline repents and turns over all her money to Edna, moving to Texas and becoming a waitress. Edwin tracks Pauline down to marry her.
