This book prints cartoons that were not published previously due to the, at that time, taboo subjects. Each cartoon includes text to explain the details as to why it was or was not printed.

Only two cartoons previously reprinted were created by Sgt. Dave Breger, November 21, 1942 (on p 131, from the Stars & Stripes newspaper) and by Dave Breger (without the sergeant designation), March 8, 1945? (on p 139, from the Stars & Stripes newspaper?). Both via King Features Syndicate, Inc.

A *Junior* ? comic panel by Bill Holman was originally meant for publication on September 8, 192? (on p 115). Other Dave Breger comic panels had dates originally meant for publication include: January 9, 194? (on p 141), and September 8, 194? (on p 147). A Milton Caniff *Male Call* comic strip created for the Information and Education section of the U. S. Army, intended for printing in allied military publications, was from circa Fall 1945 (on p 134).
