Synopsis
An editorial saying no more issues of Bijou will appear if a Supreme Court ruling permitting local communities to define standards of obscenity is not repealed. The ruling has impacted on several comic creators since 1973.
Notes
As indicated by the cover, this entire comic mimics Mad to a degree, using the format and running jokes of the early issues within strips drawn by underground cartoonists parodying each others' characters.
The indicia notes this is published in conjunction with the Bijou Publishing Empire, Inc. The price increased over the years. There were at least two printings at 75c, with the second print subsequently re-stickered at $1.
