Synopsis
Middle-class Ruth’s parents send her to “exclusive” Mt. Ivy College, where she makes friends with wealthy Janet but envies her life-style. Ruth rejects Bob because he isn’t rich, and he dates Janet. Forced to leave school for financial reasons, Ruth decides to break up Janet and Bob’s romance. Janet steps aside and Ruth marries Bob, but finds herself “trapped…into the middle-class existence I abhorred!” Ruth’s bitterness causes Bob to leave her but when their son falls ill, Ruth and Bob are reunited.
