Synopsis

Eileen meets Dennis at the train station. Dennis comes back from war and Eileen must tell him that she met Homer while Dennis was away and will marry Homer. Dennis only knows that Eileen once eloped with Herbie Damrot who turns up in town as Eileen prepares for her wedding. Eileen calls on Dennis to help her get rid of Herbie and his blackmail. After they both fall in the river, the scandal cannot be hushed. Homer still wants to marry Eileen but Eileen confesses she loves Dennis. Yet, Dennis is leaving town and Eileen promises to wait for him to come back when he is ready and sure of her love.
