Notes

First St. John issue. No interior ads in this issue. All 32 interior pages, as well as front and inside-front covers, are comics or comics-related text material.

With St. John came a company of actual Terrytoons animators, writers, and directors – including Tom Morrison, Connie Rasinski, Art Bartsch, Carlo Vinci, and Jim Tyer – to give the stories a completely different look and feel, from the Terry comics produced by Timely. A look more accurate to Terry concepts and character designs.

While this issue would largely present stories based (to varying degrees) on existing Mighty Mouse theatrical animated shorts, a well-defined continuity would soon be created for Mighty Mouse featuring regular friends (Mitzi Mouse, Professor Edam) and recurring foes (The Claw, Professor Ohm), leading to a solid series of adventure stories for the Mouse of Tomorrow.

The on-sale date is from the publication date recorded in the Catalog of Copyright Entries, Third Series, Vol. 2, Part 2, No. 1, Periodicals, January-June 1948.
