Synopsis

Paula and Del are roving grifters who relocate to Bergenville. Paula meets laid-off iron worker Clark, and discovers he has a wonderful voice: she promotes him as a singer, cutting out Del. She also schemes to separate Clark from his wife Lil and their children. Del warns her not to break up the marriage, but Lil volunteers to step aside for the sake of Clark’s career. However, Clark is called back to the foundry and quits singing. Paula is reunited with Del, who she really loves, and they go off in search of new deals.
