Notated in the indicia: "Copyright 1982 by Marvel Comics Group, a division of Cadence Industries Corporation." At the end of the indicia is this text: "This periodical may not be sold, but shall be given away as complimentary copies by Foley's." (Foley's was a department store chain in the southern United States).

This variant was included in one edition of the Houston Chronicle newspaper.

On the first story page and also the second-to-last story page, a newspaper is being held up to show the headline. In this variant, in each case the masthead for the newspaper shown uses the actual Houston Chronicle masthead (while the other two variants use their own newspaper mastheads). The masthead is also printed at the top of the cover.
