There is at least one known variant.

For the lead story, the only color besides black inks is a varied blue tint. In-issue full color was promised for next issue, but it's unclear whether that was published. The creative team re-organized a few years later and produced a new four-issue run at 2.50 USD cover price with all color. Not clear whether this was re-used there.

The indicia copyright of 1993 is considered a typo, as books contemporary with 1998 are advertised within and variously signed with '98 in the cover art blurbs. No other dates mentioned anywhere.
