Synopsis

In Albany, N.Y., 1938, a Jewish father shows his son, Jacob Goldberg, a LeMarchand Box that has been handed down since the Spanish Inquisition, and which he warns Jacob is the stuff of "sheddim" -- demons. When the father is accidentally killed by an anti-Semitic gang's thrown rock, Jacob uses the box to call forth a Golem to seek revenge.
