Synopsis

After an "early to bed, early to rise" lecture from Mr. Rich, Richie resolves to make the most of his day. As the school football team's assistant manager, he must bring the team's equipment to an out-of-town game, requiring an early morning. Groggy from the time he wakes, Richie tries to nap at various points all day, but several distractions keep him from sleeping. Finally, he has to don a football uniform and play in the game, making the winning touchdown - drowsy all the while. At home he collapses into bed, where his father thinks he has been lazily sleeping all day.
