This is the standard Direct Edition, in which the title "War Machine" is printed in red on the cover, and with a cover price of 1.50 USD; 2.05 CAD.

There are five (5) total variants of this issue. The other four editions, two Direct Edition and two Newsstand, were originally sealed in polybags along with a "16-page Marvel Action Hour Preview" comic and "1 of 6 different Marvel Action Hour acetate prints." All four have a cover price of 2.95 USD; 4.00 CAD. The only difference between these two Direct Editions, as well as the two Newsstand editions, is that the title "War Machine" is printed in either gold or pink.
