Listed in Amazing Heroes (Fantagraphics Books, 1981 series) #179, May 1, 1990. with July titles. and with shipping date of 1990-06-05. ***Printing History and background:*** There are two printings of the bound book, First Printing and Second Printing, identical except with changes to the indicia/copyright page and the first printing omits the table of contents and two pages are added to the second printing. **There are four distinguishable printings of the dust jacket:** *First printing,* with on sale date of 1990-06-07, has prices and ISBN in a single line on the back cover. *Second printing* with on sale date of 1994-11-14, has a bar code with prices and ISBN on the back cover. *Third printing*, with on sale date of 2001-10-17, has the addition of an introductory price promotion on the front cover and bar code with prices and ISBN on the back cover and encloses the second printing of the bound book. *Fourth printing*, with estimated on-sale date between 2006-04-01 and 2009-04-01, has same front cover as the third printing and price, with a new bar code on the back cover and encloses the second printing of the bound book.

There was a later re-solicitation of the First Printing, with on sale date of 2003-08-13, re-packaged and a reduced-price sticker placed over the prices which appeared in a single line on the back cover. Visual evidence is not detailed enough to determine if the sticker was placed on the dust jacket or on the shrink wrap.

Dynamic Forces certified 525 copies of the First Printing, signed by Bob Kane with the earliest solicitation of 200-12-13.
