Synopsis

Movie studio seamstress Jean falls in love with sound mixer Rick. Jean’s neighbor Eileen convinces her to "invest" an expected inheritance in clothes and a new apartment; Jean and Rick break up when he advises fiscal conservatism. Jean enjoys herself with Eileen’s fast crowd and dates Bert, then learns she only inherited $100. Bert and Eileen both dump her. Jean returns to her old job and reconciles with Rick.
