Synopsis

Ann’s father is very strict, even though she’s grown and works for a living. She dates lawyer Paul and they become engaged. Ann’s brother Vincent borrows the diamond from her engagement ring to pay his gambling debts but Paul thinks she’s a scammer. Ann begs Vincent to retrieve the gem but he is killed in the attempt. Paul tells Ann that her brother wanted her to be happy, and the wedding is back on.
