Synopsis

Von Hammer despises Nazism, but agrees to rejoin the Air Force when an old comrade pleads that the young pilots need him. He leads and performs superbly, but clashes repeatedly with a Nazi subordinate. Crashing behind enemy lines awakens him to the horrible suffering that Germans are inflicting on Russians.
