Each story begins with an isolated unframed illustration usually showing Jinks but occasionally Jinks with other characters. Jinks is the only character shown coloured in orange as is the title lettering. Pixie and Dixie are alone in three header illustrations but they are black and white although background objects are coloured in orange.
