Synopsis

Janet, a hotel receptionist had been the only friend of an old lady who had referred to her as her 'daughter'. When the ex-actress died, everyone was shocked to learn that she had shares worth £30,000 and had left it all to Janet. The solicitor, who had handled the will, planned with his sister to marry Janet to get the money. But with the help of a hotel guest from Australia, Janet learns of his deceit. When that plan failed, the solicitor's sister and another relative of the lady arranged for Janet to have an 'accident' while riding her bicycle so they could get the money.
