Synopsis

Sandra's parents had drowned when she was ten and she had been taken in by the Frasers, friends of her mother. The Frasers had always been kind and warm to her, but she felt overshadowed by the Frasers' two brilliant children. When Lorna is offered a singing job in London, Sandra is asked to go along to be the secretary for a famous impresario while also being a companion for Lorna. In time, Lorna thinks Mark will ask her to marry him, but it is Sandra he really loves. When Lorna finds out, she lies about Sandra's past to drive Mark away from Sandra.
