Synopsis

When Otto Heinrich's serial "The Years Between" first appeared in a German magazine, it attracted the notice of a British publishing company. With the contracts manager ill and no time to replace him, the manager's secretary is sent in his place to Germany to negotiate a contract for the worldwide rights to the story. At a German railway station, Laura meets a pleasant man who helps her navigate the station. But as she spends time with him on the train, she learns he is representing an American publisher that wants the rights to "The Years Between".
