Synopsis

At a party, Charles sees a pretty maid musing out loud about how she would like to wear a lovely dress and seizes the opportunity. His girlfriend has been flirting with another man and he gets Jill to change from her maid outfit into one of Lady Ann's gowns. The plan works and Fay becomes jealous. Charles releases Jill to enjoy the rest of the party. She meets a famous writer and decides not to tell him who she really is since she never expects to see him again. But they have a magical evening. On her day off, she returns to the river they had floated on to reminisce and he sees her.
