Synopsis
When Kennedy is assassinated, new President Johnson vigorously pushes for Civil Rights legislation, even as J. Edgar Hoover spies on King and tries to smear him. Johnson is frustrated that African Americans are not more appreciative of what he's accomplished, but he doesn't recognize the ongoing struggle they face daily, even with the new laws.
