Synopsis

Walt falls in love with dance hall hostess Paula, but is embarrassed by her lack of culture and style. He breaks up with her: “I’m ashamed and disgusted! Your voice shouts the jargon of the gutter!” A year later Walt runs into Paula and she says she’s been trying to make herself worthy of him. Walt asks her to marry him.
