Synopsis
An American patrol is attacked by Communist soldiers, and during a lull in the battle, a U.S. soldier comes down with acute appendicitis. A medic manages to make his way to the soldiers, and, getting instructions from a doctor over the radio, successfully completes the operation. Then an enemy mortar attack occurs, but soon U.S. planes arrive and wipe out the enemy forces. Unfortunately, the young soldier, newly operated on, dies in the attack.
