Synopsis

Jill wants to go out and be gay instead of slaving at home like her mother and sisters. She lets Bob know that she would like to go to the Valentine Ball, but is humiliated when he attempts to auction her off for an evening to raise the money to take her. He apologizes and she agrees to go to the ball with him, planning to get back at him for humiliating her. But she discovers that she doesn't want to be gay and lively anymore as she just wants to be with him.
