Valkyries

Valkyries, also known as Valkyrior, are an elite Norse female warrior group selected by Odin as protectors of the gods. They also chose mortally wounded heroes from the battlefield and brought them to Valhalla. For a time they were led by Brunnhilde, aka Valkyrie, and after her, by Valtrauta.
