Following the erasure of Superboy from the history of Superman due to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the Time Trapper created a Pocket Universe in which life existed only on Earth and Krypton. He manipulated events such that Kal-El was sent from the exploding Krypton to Earth and grew up to become Superboy. Anytime Superboy traveled to the Legion's time, or the Legion traveled to Superboy's time, the Time Trapper would direct them on a path between the 20th century Pocket Universe and the 30th century primary universe. When the Time Trapper's schemes were uncovered, Superboy sacrificed his life to save his world. Later, three Kryptonian criminals who had escaped their world's destruction in the Phantom Zone, decimated the Pocket Universe Earth. The Pocket Universe Lex Luthor had created a Supergirl in hopes of fighting the criminals, but it was ultimately Superman from the primary universe who stopped them. Fearing that they would escape and attack his own Earth, Superman executed the criminals for their crimes. Supergirl, the Pocket Universe's only survivor, returned to the primary universe with Superman. In the 30th century, the Legion of Super-Heroes attempted to pull the Pocket Universe Earth into the primary universe to replace their own destroyed Earth. Although they were successful in moving the planet, the Pocket Universe Earth became unstable and was also destroyed.
