The Polish-born American comic book artist and educator appearing as himself in biographic or imaginative presentations; the likeness of Joe Kubert in fictional or non-fictional stories, advertisements or articles. Kubert's first appearances in comics as a character are with his classmate and future collaborator from Manhattan's High School of Music and Art, Norman Maurer. In 1976, The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art was founded by Kubert and his wife, Muriel.
