The on-sale date is the publication date reported in the U. S. Copyright Office filing. Original on-sale date of December 13, 1977 listed in Comic Reader #151 and December 15 stated as release date in the letter column in Justice League of America #151. However, Comic Reader #151 already indicated this was "probably delayed" to January 3, 1978.
The barcode implies a March date, but due to the delay in release this came out with comics dated April.
