Synopsis

Jimmy Olsen's new boss, Morgan Edge, assigns Jimmy to do a story on the Newsboy Legion and their Whiz Wagon which leads him to the mysteries of the Wild Area and the Outsiders and their leader, Yango. Jimmy is joined there by Superman, after he survives an assassination attempt on Clark Kent by Intergang, directed by Morgan Edge.

There is a printing error with the first printing of this omnibus. Page 4 of the story from Jimmy Olsen #148 (page 943 of the Omnibus) is not the correct page, instead printed in its place is page 4 of the story from Jimmy Olsen #147, which also appears in its correct place (page 864 of the Omnibus). DC issued a second printing in March 2018 that corrected this error. Purchasers of the erroneous first edition were given an opportunity to return their copy to get a free replacement with the corrected second printing. Note: the second printing has the same ISBN number and barcode as the first printing, the only way to differentiate between the printings is on the indicia page.
