Synopsis

Waitress Jessica meets mechanic/inventor David Bannister. She offers to bankroll his invention as a strictly “business” proposition even though she's fallen in love with him. Her friends and family tell her she’s a sucker. When he leaves town without notice, she thinks she’s been fleeced. However, he has her meet him in Detroit, tells her he sold his invention, and proposes marriage.
