Synopsis

Popeye wants to surprise Olive Oyl with a present, and Pete tells him that lovebirds grow wild in the jungle, "parakeets" he calls them. Some of them can even talk, he's told. Popeye then persuades two of the birds to join him on board. He presents them to Olive, who is delighted, and smothers him with kisses. One of the mates states they're parakeets, not lovebirds. Wimpy goes one step further and calls them budgies. They introduce themselves by name, Flip and Flap, and in turn Wimpy tells them his, J. Wellington Wimpy. And from the birds Wimpy is told their next destination: Yapple Island.
