Synopsis

Popeye and Sir Pomeroy succeed in raising a sunken Spanish treasure ship to the water's surface, but inside the ship a mermaid, the "Ispano-Squeezer", has Bluto held captive. Bluto declares the treasure as his own, punches Popeye and the mermaid leaps back into the sea. Popeye hitches an outboard motor to the treasure ship and off they go, leaving Bluto and his men behind. Soon Bluto's steamer gains on the treasure ship though. In desperation, Popeye and Pomeroy fire up the old treasure ship's cannons, but with no cannonballs they resort to using the gold from the treasure as cannon fodder.
