Synopsis

After finishing a tour of duty as a nurse in Singapore, Nan is preparing to return to England when the owner of a rubber plantation pleads with her to come to Samaran Island to care for his native workers who had been stricken with a deadly disease. When Nan arrives on the island, she finds love amid various plots that develop against her and the plantation owner.
