Synopsis

Jane leaves Peckham, London to take on the job of companion-maid to a famous Hollywood star. When leaving the house of the actress one evening she is kidnapped by two men. When they discover that Jane isn't the star, they tell her it was all part of a publicity stunt arranged by the star's agent. They take Jane back and when she observes the star being kidnapped a week later, she wrongly assumes it is part of a second attempt at a publicity stunt by the same kidnappers.
