Synopsis

After the X-Men train in the Danger Room Cyclops and Wolverine argue. The team learns from the news that Dazzler has been kidnapped by the Friends of Humanity ahead of a benefit concert. They rescue her and Val Cooper take over the arrest as her role as U.N. Liaison on Mutant Affairs. Beast works on fixing Bishop's time travel device. Jubilee, Bishop, Rogue, and Gambit attend Dazzler's concert, which is disrupted by the Nasty Boys, but they quickly subdue them. Jean tells Scott she's pregnant and Sinister schemes to discredit the X-Men.

The marketing of this variant was as follows: four popular comic cover artists created unique artwork for this title's first issue. Four variant covers were specially printed of each piece of art in limited quantities; trade dress (1,250 copies), virgin art (1,000 copies), silver foil (500 copies) and gold foil (250 copies). Three of the variant comics were then randomly packaged in blind bags for retail sale.
